Apple on Tuesday announced the official release date for its latest iOS 8 mobile operating system in a special event yesterday.
The next version of its mobile operating system will officially launch on September 17th.
iOS 8 will come preinstalled on all new iPhone and iPad models, and will be available as a free update for existing users of iPhone 4s, iPad 2, iPad mini, and fifth-generation iPod touch models, or later.
